End of June, SACOFA celebrated Ngiling Bidai 2026 with employees from the Kuching Headquarters and Regional teams, marking the official end of the month-long Gawai festivities.
The celebration brought employees together to honour Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening the spirit of unity and togetherness within the organisation. It was a meaningful occasion that reflected SACOFA’s commitment to embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive workplace where employees from different backgrounds and cultures come together in celebration.
Among the highlights of the celebration were the Traditional Costume Fashion Show, Cultural Dance Performances and the Ngajat Ngetas Ranyai ceremony, all presented by SACOFA employees. The event concluded with the symbolic rolling of the mat (Ngiling Bidai), a traditional ritual signifying the close of the Gawai season. Filled with engaging activities, cultural performances and festive delicacies, the celebration reflected SACOFA’s appreciation for its people and the diverse cultures that contribute to the organisation’s strength.
Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai, Lantang Senang Nguan Menoa! As the Gawai season comes to an end, may the spirit of goodwill, prosperity and togetherness continue to inspire everyone throughout the year.
